The World Chamber of Commerce Power Networking and Evening with The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

March 11, 2010, The Woodruff Arts Center, Atlanta Symphony Hall, Atlanta, Georgia

The exceptional young Russian pianist Kirill Gerstein (winner of the 2001 Arthur Rubinstein Piano Competition) makes his Atlanta Symphony Orchestra debut in Liszt's sumptuous work, preceded by Beethoven's stormy opera overture. Stravinsky's ballet Petrushka tells the magical story of a lovelorn puppet who lives, woos, dies, and (just possibly) becomes immortal at a Russian Mardi Gras fair.

Program:
  • Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Concert at Atlanta Symphony Hall
    • Liszt: Piano Concerto No. 2
    • Beethoven: Leonore Overture No. 3
    • Stravinsky: Petruska
