December 2022, the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce Southeast (EACCSE) hosted her annual Award dinner at the Gas South Convention center in Duluth, GA. It was a memorable evening. Guests were entertained with live music, dances as well as a video presentation of the sights and sounds of Ecuador. On hand to present the prestigious award to the recipients was the president of the EACCSE President Julio V. Moreno.
One of the recipients of the Award was Roberto E. Mendoza a chef and philanthropist – a modest but humble man who has served past and present U.S Presidents as chef. The chef’s through his non-profit organization feeds 500 children in the Dominican Republic as well as Pakistan. Other notable guests in attendance were the EACCSE board members, Ecuadorian Ambassador to the United States of America, Juan A. Veintimilla, Laurent Kahl and his wife, Max Sutherland – President & CEO of the World Trade Center Atlanta and his husband, Councilman Austin Thompson Jr – Councilman – Post 3 Lawrenceville, as well as Maria Medrano an Acrylic artist from Honduras who also had several of her artworks for display at the event. The event was well attended.
